March 2014: The final surgery was less than $800 and donors stepped and donated enought to cover his surgery and follow-up costs. The surgery was very successful; He only had to have the opening made permanently larger; He did not have to have his "male part" removed. Hansel is recovering nicely and is available for adoption.
February 2014: I just found out I have a very small preputial opening so my bladder cannot empty like a "normal" kitten. Without surgery, my bladder will continue to prevent toxins to be expelled by my body. I will continue to get infections, become very sick and probably die.My surgery will be performed by Purdue and the cost is estimated at $1,800 - $2,500. My New Cat does not have the money for my surgery. Please consider donating any amount to help me get the surgery I need. A tax receipt for your tax-deductible donation will be provided by My New Cat, a 501c3 charitable organization.
Donations for Hansel's surgery are closed. If you would like to continue to help other kitties, you may donate to our Sick and Injured Kitty Fund.
